Over the past 20 years, I’ve been fortunate to work alongside many talented, dedicated people while leading and growing technology businesses. As CEO of MessageGears, my focus each day is on how to marry our long-term vision for growth with an eye toward ensuring our clients’ satisfaction and success. Being CEO of a growing technology company requires boundless energy and the ability to be your company’s biggest, most visible advocate, but it’s also essential to surround yourself with exceptional people who can carry your vision through the day-to-day reality required to make any business a success. MessageGears is ranked as one of Atlanta’s best places to work and is ranked by Deloitte as one of the 500 fastest growing technology companies in North America.
Prior to MessageGears, I was President of IgnitionOne, a company formerly named SearchIgnite that I founded. I grew that business from inception to one of the world’s largest digital media platforms. It was ranked one of the Best Places to Work in Atlanta by the Atlanta Business Chronicle. Some of my previous growth leadership positions included Biltmore Communications (acquired by DIRECTV) and eTour (acquired by Ask.com).
I’ve received numerous awards, including Atlanta Internet Marketer of The Year and Emory’s Goizueta Business School Outstanding Recent Alumni award. I’m on the Board of Directors of the Atlanta CEO Council, a member of YPO — Southern 7 Chapter and a mentor at Techstars Atlanta. I’m a frequent guest speaker at industry conferences and have been regularly cited in major media outlets. I earned an MBA from Emory University’s Goizueta School of Business and a BS in Computer and Electrical Engineering from the University of South Carolina.
In addition to Cooleaf work, spent a considerable amount of time with a great co-Director (Praveen Ghanta) to start an Atlanta chapter of the world’s largest business accelerator (Founder Institute). Responsibilities included securing Mentors (local CEOs generally), recruiting candidates, and securing sponsors for Founder Institute’s Atlanta Chapter. Successfully ran the first semester and ended up with a graduating class (Jan 2014) of 11 fantastic startup founders.
Each day I am privileged to lead the startup I co-founded, dedicated to the shifting the paradigm for B2B salespeople and marketers. As a career salesperson at AT&T I became passionate about new communication models afforded by the rise of social media.
We founded and created Ready For Social powered by Thought Horizon with a mission to:
• Empower salespeople to regularly share content to engage with prospects online without wasting valuable time
• Help marketers create great content at scale and measure the impact of that content on social media
• Educate salespeople on how to effectively use social media to engage with and sell to their prospects and buyers
• Bring social media for B2B into the mainstream by empowering the people who sell in those markets
I am passionate about sales after falling into a career selling. My first real job was selling subscriptions to waste services door-to-door. I love meeting new people which has fueled my interest in travel, diverse cultures and languages. While an expert in none of these things, my super-power is my curiosity.

I inspire, teach and build tools to help main street families get on track with their money.
70% of families live paycheck to paycheck. Few states require financial education to graduate from high school. Few financial advisors focus on the blue collar world.
We don’t teach people how to play the game and it’s the greatest injustice in capitalism.
I’m working with a team to solve that at scale.
