The September 24 Executive Reception Big Idea features Professor Doug Yarn on how human nature influences our approach to and resolution of, conflict.
According to Professor Yarn, humans are the most pro-social of primates, but this leads to significant conflicts and disputes, at home, in the workplace and in communities. This talk explores how and why nature has equipped us to negotiate resolution of these conflicts and some of the challenges our “human nature” poses in managing conflict. Professor Yarn will focus on “Reconciliation: a biological perspective on negotiating and resolving disputes in the workplace and elsewhere.”
Seating is limited and the talk will begin at 5:40. Professor Yarn will join the executive networking event following his presentation.
