James Tally is stepping down as CEO of Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta.

Emory University has hired Dr. Fred Sanfilippo as the new CEO for Woodruff Health Sciences Center, chairman of Emory Healthcare and EVP of health affairs.

Dr. Otis Brawley at Emory University’s Winship Cancer Institute will be the American Cancer Society’s new chief medical officer.

Earthlink Inc. named Rolla P. Huff as their new president and CEO.

Wes Vawter has relocated to Atlanta Fine Homes, LLC.

Vyyo, a supplier of broadband access equipment for cable system operators, has named Robert K. Mills, CFO and David Feldman, CTO. Mills joins Vyyo from Tri-S Security Corporation where served as CFO. Feldman was previously Vice President of Technology with Charter Communications and Jones Intercable.

Thomas S. Roberson, a former dean of Emory’s Goizueta Business School, has been named dean of the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School.

Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta named Dr. Daniel Salinas as their new chief medical officer.

Val Carolin has joined What’s Up Interactive, a web technology and marketing company, as President. Carolin’s comes to What’s Up Interactive from Clear Channel Radio in Atlanta where he was a director of sales. He will be responsible for strategic planning, business development and marketing initiatives.

The Bolton Group LLC introduces Heather Albright as partner.

Vicki Hamilton has been elected to the board of directors of the Women In Technology’s (WIT) Foundation Board, the philanthropic arm of the organization. Hamilton is the senior vice president of Enterprise Performance at Turner Broadcasting System, Inc. She brings over 20 years of experience in technology to her position.

Porter Novelli has named Brad MacAfee as partner.

Jim Benjamin has joined RCMS Group as Chief Operating Officer and Jag Sheth has joined the RCMS Group’s Board of Advisors. Sheth is a professor of marketing at the Goizueta Business School at Emory University and has advised dozens of companies, including 3M, Bechtel and General Electric. Benjamin comes to the RCMS Group from PRG Schultz, where he served as Executive Vice President of U.S. Operations. RCMS Group produces high quality construction drawings using Building Information Modeling (BIM) technology.

Bob Moore will retire Dec. 31 as Atlanta division vice president of Publix Super Markets, Inc.

Morris, Manning & Martin LLP, has appointed Atlanta Partners, Paul Arne and Sandra Gardiner, to head their new Web 2.0 team.

Justin McLain has been appointed Endeavor Telecom Inc.’s chief executive officer.

James C. Hansberger, Managing Director – Wealth Management at Smith Barney, has recently been included in Barron’s Magazine’s Top 100 U.S. Financial Advisors.

Swingvote, a outsource provider of proxy delivery and voting services for banks, brokerage firms and institutional investors, named Diana Bourke as President and COO. Diana comes to Swingvote from Institutional Shareholder Services’ (ISS) Global Voting and Transaction Services business unit, where she served as Executive Vice President and General Manager. Bourke serves on the Board of Trustees of the Trudeau Institute.

Katherine Addleman is returning to the Securities and Exchange Commission as regional director.

The Georgia Department of Economic Development (GDEcD) appointed Charlie Gatlin to the post of tourism commissioner and Heidi Green as their new deputy commissioner for global commerce.

Simplified Technology Solutions, Inc. has named Lisa Duke Chief Executive Officer and majority share holder. Duke has 10 years of executive level experience, with positions including Senior Business Systems Analyst, Senior Sales Director and Director of Business Development. Duke Reality Corporation named Chris Brown as vice president.

EDI, Ltd., appointed a new executive leadership team naming J. Kevin Hebblethwaite as President and Jim Harrison as Senior Vice President and Managing Principal. Hebblethewaite joined EDI in 1998 and has more than 12 years of experience in leadership and business development for technology-centric companies. Harrison has been with EDI since 1991 and has led projects for clients including Office Depot, UPS, Georgia State University, Brown University and the Medical College of Virginia.

Ben Carter Properties LLC has named Scott D. Higley vice president of marketing.

Sugar CRM, a provider of commercial open source customer relationship management software, has named David Gearhart Regional Vice President of Corporate Sales. Gearhart brings 11 years of experience with CRM and will be responsible for fostering close relationships between SugarCRM and its customers, partners and developer community east of the Mississippi.

Schematic has appointed Matthew Coble, Vice President of Technology and Group Director and Bob Keyser as Senior Vice President. Coble brings 12 years of experience in professional services, interactive marketing and information technology. Before joining Schematic, Coble served as CTO of Studiocom. Keyser was previously Vice President of Marketing Strategy at Modern Media.

The Network, Inc. has promoted Luis Ramos to Senior Vice President of Operations and Technology and Gerry Halphen to Senior Vice President of Strategic Development. Ramos has been with The Network, Inc. for 8 years and is responsible for the company’s contact center and client support operations. He was formerly vice president of risk management services. Halphen has been with The Network, Inc. for 4 years. He joined the company in 2003 as Director of Product Development and was later promoted to Vice President of Product Development. The Network, Inc. helps clients collect information and address critical issues such as ethics, risk management and service quality.
